I agree with a previous review that serving tea in beer steins is unusual. I have never been charged for hot tea at a Chinese or Japanese restaurant before, but I understand that businesses need to make money. There are no lunch specials available. When my companion asked if she could have fried rice instead of white rice, she was told she would have to purchase a whole $8 entree of fried rice. I usually only order salads at Japanese restaurants because I enjoy ginger salad dressing. The green salad I received was mostly iceberg lettuce with a few limp cucumber and carrot strips, drenched in ranch dressing. The miso soup was watered down and lacked flavor. Although it was served in a larger bowl than I am used to, I prefer a smaller bowl with a more intense flavor. My companion requested extra spicy Hunan chicken, but it was actually bland and not spicy at all. The portion size was generous, however. The sushi rolls were loosely wrapped but tasted good. There are some interesting rolls on the menu that I would like to try if I visit again. The prices were comparable to other restaurants. The waiter/cook was friendly and attentive.

I like Chinese food a lot so I've eaten at many Chinese places throughout Connecticut and I have to say this is by far the best Chinese food I've ever had.

We used to adore this restaurant, but today when we visited, it appeared to be permanently shut down. There were no lights on, no signage outside, however, their website is still operational.

This is the best Japanese restaurant in the area. The sushi and sashimi are fantastic, as are the noodle dishes. You really can't go wrong with the food they offer. Definitely worth a visit to try it out.

I usually don't like to leave negative reviews, but I feel it's important to provide honest guidance for fellow Yelp users. I have dined at this restaurant multiple times. The sushi does not taste fresh and has a strange texture. The atmosphere is dark and dirty, with very few customers.
