Although they were still frozen, they began to baptize a little. Box was wet. Just to say. BUT! They were absolutely delicious!!!! We cooked a bit this night and frozen the rest for later delicacies!!! We will order again next year! I think this has become a Christmas tradition for us! Thanks for the yummies!!!
While it is quite a drive out south of town, the setting is beautiful and the facility is above average. It is a bit rustic in keeping with the Alaska theme. They provide an all you can eat Dungeness crab feast which includes salad, dessert and one beverage of choice (limited to soda, cabernet or chardonnay wine, Alaska Amber beer and coffee/tea) and melted butter/lemon with the crab. This is a crack your own and it is a messy endeavor. Casual dress advised. The wait staff are very entertaining with contests and stories. If you catch their special buy one/half price for the second, the cost is very reasonable, but even at regular price, a crab pig out like this is a good deal.
We did the Wilderness Exploration and Crab Feast excursion in Ketchikan. Our driver Trisha was great!! The boat ride with Maddie was informative and fun. The staff and feast at St George’s Inlet were superb!! Highly recommend this tour experience
I’m curious as to why this place doesn’t have more reviews. Our group of nearly 25 people enjoyed the crab festival, and it was fantastic. Our waiter, Gregory, was outstanding; he showed us how to extract the meat from the crabs and answered all our questions about life in Alaska. Everyone started with a salad, which, while not anything extraordinary, was still quite delicious. Then came the crabs, which were out of this world—simply amazing and truly divine. To top it all off, we indulged in a dreamy cheesecake that was, in my opinion, the best I've ever had. I highly recommend going there to enjoy their crabs!
The Dungeness crab arrived right on time and was well-chilled. I divided the contents into three two-gallon plastic bags and placed them in the freezer. Later, I heated some water on the stove since the crab was already salty enough for my liking, and cooked four crab halves for about 5-6 minutes. It was very easy to crack open and retrieve the meat. Half of the meat went into a delicious crab bisque, while the other half was stored in the refrigerator. The chilled crab kept well for five days and still tasted great by the end. It's a quality product, and I highly recommend it.
