Anchor Down Family - Kewaunee

I had an excellent experience with the customer service. The food was fantastic! My partner ordered the loaded hash browns while I had the western omelette along with biscuits and gravy. I would have taken a picture, but it was devoured so quickly—I'm surprised I finished it all! I definitely needed a nap afterward, haha. We will definitely be returning. Also, the decor was impressive!

This morning, pumpkin pancakes were the special, and my partner loved them—he just wished there had been one more on the plate. I ordered the meat omelet, which I upgraded to a skillet for an extra $3. I usually have a hard time ordering eggs for breakfast, but these were cooked perfectly. I was really pleased, as I often find my eggs come out undercooked and slimy, but these were anything but that. The only thing I would have liked during our visit was for the cook to be a bit quicker, especially on a weekday morning.

Delicious food, a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere, and friendly waitstaff - everyone was eager to assist and serve us. The rustic decor added charm, and the restaurant was very clean. We will definitely be returning the next time we’re in the area!

Uneventful. Coffee was super watery. Eggs American fries and toast were ok. Service was great. Nice kids. Edit: In response to the owners rudely negative comment. My husband and I travel around Wisconsin and try out many different diners every weekend. We have had some great stops and some not so great. This restaurant, to ME, was ok. Just an FYI, that is not a bad thing. Uneventful means it did not wow me. I am not sure where you got the idea I needed entertainment,

This place made me feel like I'd grown up there. Down home, good eating. Not fancy, but friendly. Will do it again when I get back that way.
