Thirsty Mermaid - Key West

The Happy Hour menu is 4pm to 6pm. I ordered all the articles that contain Mac n' cheese croquettes, wings, mussels, oysters and ceviche. All were so delicious and only $5 per. The waiting staff was very fast to bring drinks and food. They cleaned the plates and the table and were very helpful. Only decline was the happy hour mermaid camp had not had enough time to cool when I came there at 4:00, so there were no available throughout the happy hour. In total for two people we ordered 8 happy hour food and a mermaid camp. I felt it was a sufficient amount for dinner. The bill came $50. Good value for the costs!

We tried to visit Thirsty Mermaid a few times and either couldn't make reservations or it was closed. We finally have the chance to turn on a happy hour. The only reason we weren't for dinner was that we were looking for groupers and they didn't have it on the menu. We drank Cava because we don't drink beer, but it was absolutely delicious. We ordered tuna, Mac and cheese croquettes and oysters. Everything was noticeable. We said we should have eaten here, but next time we'll be safe. What a fantastic place!

Delicious tuna fresh fish! Amazing service. We're right there. It was the only meal our little guy ate all the way to KW. Couldn't believe he's still talking about the tuna burger.

Such a great restaurant with smaller quantities than in the thickness of Duval. We went to buy brother-in-law (provided the big logo) stayed for the best meal of our stay in KW. The green Gazpacho was a unique change from the standard recipe. The Snapper Sandwich was incredible and the potato salad is a MUST. We all (4) agreed it was the best we ever had! The lobster roll was freshly delicious. Our host Laura was knowledgeable for the area, a wonderful server of lovely people. We will certainly be back on our next trip down.

Definitely call ahead for a reservation. We didn't and waited 45 minutes. Not a big deal since we wandered the local shops until we were called. You might want to take an Uber but there are metered parking spots in the area. The food was exceptional. Hubs and I had the blackened yellow snapper special and my friend had the fresh sea food tower. The wine and service were fantastic.
