It is rare that I give a 5-star rating to a bar. This bar is a must for anyone who even has an interest in whisky. After visiting a large number of bars, I can honestly say that it takes a lot to impress me in this phase of my life when it comes to bars. Just as I thought I would not be impressed by bars anymore, I have the feeling of hmmmm that interesting when I visited the Dylan Whisky Bar. At the moment you go, you get a sense that great attention to small detail. The walls are lined with a myriad of whiskys. Everyone has a price to tell the customer how much a shot costs. The interior is so impressive. The low ceiling and hardwood floor (heringbone effect) makes this place authentic. The furniture and decor are carefully selected as the lighting. It would be the perfect place to get whisky after dinner, bask in the atmosphere of Kilkenny. If you were accidentally a wedding party or even a corporate event, I could not think of a more suitable place to hold a meeting. As far as I know, the venue will also supply food if you book as a group, for example. The outer areas are like small quiet oases in the heart of Kilkenny. The bar also has a good selection of beer and stouts if whiskey is not your thing. And finally, the staff, and especially the owner, could no longer be hospitable and helpful for everything our group asked. Therefore, the rare 5-star rating in this review! As a side-by-side, when I wrote this, I learned an interesting fact that is badly sharing: when referring to drinks from Scotland, Canada or Japan, the spelling without the e-Whisky is used while referring to drinks distilled in the United States or Ireland, using e-Whiskey! A nice fact you can know when you visit the bar!

Great pub. Friendly and knowledgeable service, wide selection of whiskey and large lighting and decoration. A winner who is a bit away from the beaten path.
