Gala, Machintosh, many more varieties, they also have fresh apple pies and fruit muffins, cider and fresh treats for kids. Good family owned. Support our local farmers. ???
To begin, I'd like to highlight that I've been a loyal customer of this beautiful farm for numerous years. A few years ago, admission was complimentary, then it was only free on weekends, and now they impose a $7 per person fee, which I find excessive, especially given the absence of kid-friendly activities. The location itself is amazing; we used to relish shopping at the store and enjoyed delicious food on-site. Regrettably, we've discontinued our visits due to the high entrance fee. Hope the fee will be removed at least for weekdays.
A great location for a family outing or a couples date, located just outside the city of Toronto . We were pleased with the customer service and ease of use of the property. Staff were knowledgeable and all the various types of apples were easy to find. The location boasts a few locations to take pictures with vintage vehicles as well as some animals. At the end of your picking journey, you can stop off for some fresh baked apple treats, have a bite of their delicious restaurant food or pick up something from their small market.
I went to this farm because I found out through their website they don't use plastic containers. I am all for the environment. Indeed, they don't. But the visit for the three of us was costly. $7 per admission plus the weight of apples). Their food was expensive, too, with tiny portions. There was an event group going up, which caused no tables left for the public and a longer waiting time for food preparation when we ordered. I suggest not charging the same admission price to the public when having billed other group's events since the service is not the same. Labels in the apple field could have been more helpful. Many people were confused, wondering where the melba apples were! A better labeling system where people can find the ready apples could be significant. The farm is neat and cute.
The wait to place an order was outrageous, so we decided to leave. I bought some heirloom tomatoes, but they had no flavor at all. It was a waste of my money, and I won't be returning.
