I absolutely adore the fishermans rest and the owners and the staff who run this gorgeously idyllic pub set next to the tidal road outside of the picturesque village of aveton gifford. These good decent folk have been nothing other than the most warm and friendly folk that you could ever wish to meet, with marvellous food and a brilliant atmosphere throughout all of the exciting events that they organise......great pub, great people....definitely my favourite pub.....ever

We had a fantastic Sunday roast at this restaurant in a peaceful and lovely setting. The staff were very attentive and willing to go above and beyond to make our dining experience enjoyable. The portion sizes were generous, and the homemade food was of excellent quality. We highly recommend this place.
