After walking about 8-9 miles on a hot day, my friend and I found ourselves feeling very thirsty and hungry. I had made note of a few tea spots in Kingston, and after finishing the last segment of the London LOOP along the Thames near Kingston Bridge, we came across a charming cafe in Market Place. The cafe offered a cool and tranquil atmosphere, and the young man behind the counter greeted us with a friendly smile. We decided to order Taylors Yorkshire tea along with a delightful apple tartlet. The tart was just the right amount of sweetness and tasted homemade. The staff member assured us that all the cakes were fresh and wholesome. My friend was tempted by the gluten-free chocolate and mint cakes but held back. We were seated at a table, and our order was promptly served. The tea was simply perfect, and I felt like I could easily drift off for a nap afterwards.
This restaurant is ideal for families with young children, featuring a spacious play area equipped with toys that keep my toddler happily occupied while I savor my meal. The drinks and food are affordably priced for the Kingston area.
This cafe is a good choice if you have young children. It is located in All Saints Church and has a good childrens play area with lots of toys. The cafe sells a range of drinks, cakes and light meals which are good value compared to other local cafes.
We escaped the heat on the hot bank holiday weekend in this cafe which is inside All Saints Church. The drinks are good value, the staff are friendly and there is a play area for young children with lots of toys.
