Írjon visszajelzéstWe had a very poor experience here. When I booked our table I specifically requested “inside and away from the door”. When we arrived guess what? Moved table along, but the staff kept leaving the door open when the outside temperature was only I got up and shut the door myself several times, and asked staff to close it several times to no avail. I eventually had to go and get an outside blanket, and kept my woollen coat on the whole time. Then the food: my husbands was ok but not great (pulled pork burger) but mine was inedible: the fried chicken was awful and I couldn’t even bite into it, dry as a dead dingoes donger. Even when I took the chicken out of the burger it didn’t taste good. We ordered hash brown onion rings which I asked to be put on the side. The soggy (supermarket) hash brown was put into the burger, and there were no onion rings at all. This meant the burger was too tall to eat, but the trendy plate was too small to pull the burger apart to eat with a knife fork. The chips were average, not crisp, but I ate them anyway because I was hungry. The beer was nice. We had intended to have coffee dessert but the meal was so poor we bailed and went elsewhere. Also there was no COVID spacing, diners were crammed together- not cool at all guys. I mentioned this to the floor manager, but he just muttered he would tell the chef, no apology and not even an offer of a coffee. Verdict?... overpriced for a plain old burger and exceptionally poor food and service.
I’m happy enough to pay for a burger, but at that price I want it to be a really good burger. Unfortunately what we got wasn’t. It was fine, it had all the essentials, but I don’t think was worth the price tag.
Sorry Beef &Barley, this review is not favourable.....we seriously would have been happier with a drive through Hubby and I fancied a burger, wish we had not bothered. Here goes: A very mediocre welcome, find your own seat, order your own burger online, ask for...salt pepper, ask for ketchup and order your own drinks. Waitress was not rushed off her feet, the place was not busy and still she gazed into space. Food came sooooo many chips, advertised and anticipated coleslaw was basically shredded red/white cabbage no dressing to taste. Burger was deep fried but on a plus, it was piping for burgers and soft drinks. Hmmmm. Surroundings were disappointing: dirty floor, cobwebs everywhere, no decor other than IKEA plastic plants, dirty tables and torn plastic windows. Our whole experience was actually less than Come on B&B rise to the standard of other Kingston Foreshore eateries..... we had expectations.
First night in Canberra, this place was literally outside our front door. Easy decision. Decent range of burgers, sides and drinks. All of the food we had was good. A little slow coming out of the kitchen given there were only about a dozen or...so other customers, but was still very good. I am however confused about this place not sure if it's trying to be a restaurant (some groups were greeted at the door, orders taken at their tables as per a proper restaurant) or a more casual eatery (other groups told to find their own table and order at the register). They need to work out their process then make it clear to customers so they know what to expect.
Bought a voucher for high tea. Very expensive if you were paying full price and the food was very very okay. As previously stated some of the food was dry and small portions. The coffee was okay. I too don't think I will return.
