Írjon visszajelzéstI was fortunate to stay at The Viewmount for days and get the inside rundown on the plans for refurbishment in May as renovations were commencing. I can say that I cannot wait to return, not only because I had no idea what The Highlands had on offer but also because this guesthouse is going to set a whole new level in this little village The house is a grand old dame with a fascinating history. Each room has unique and breathtaking views of the Cairngorms mountains and Esther's hosting is par excellence. She has travelled extensively, picking out the best of all to include at The Viewmount. A stay here when they reopen is no doubt going to be top notch in every way from the style and quality in the rooms to the food and added touches to the wine cellar featuring only award winning wines. A guest experience which you remember The thing that I particularly liked was the easy access from the and centrality to everywhere I wanted to go to in days without having to stay in places. I got to Inverness, did the Isle of Skye tour, the train over the Glenfinnian Viaduct from Fort William, both easy (less than) hour's drives from Kingussie. Having a rest day to explore the little village is also a must especially the music shop which has the largest selection of sheet music in the UK I left the Highlands knowing that I will be back. Soon! My tip is that you do your research before you go there is so much to see and do and days hardly scratched the surface of it!
Period property tastefully decorated and furnished, our room was lovely with views towards the Cairngorm and a wee dram provided for additional comfort if required. Exquisite breakfast with a different special offered daily. Gladly return here.
Very friendly, great food. Breakfast is excellent, as are the evening fireside drinks. Great location to explore the Highlands
Stayed for two nights and had a great experience. Cater well for disabled without detracting from the overall experience. Excellent host and perfect breakfast. Well placed for exploring the Caingorms and access to attractions near the
I had an amazing experience at this restaurant! It is rare to find a place where it is clear that the owner has achieved a lifelong dream, and Viewmount is exactly that kind of place. From the beautiful Bell room with its stunning panoramic view (as seen in the first photo) to the large ensuite bathroom, to the dining room/library, lounge, and wine cellar, every aspect of this establishment exudes attention to detail. Esther, the owner, is incredibly attentive, knowledgeable, and thoughtful. The breakfast is delicious, and the nightly snacks and drinks are a delightful addition. The surroundings are breathtaking, and I had the pleasure of going for a morning run, although the steep slopes made it a bit challenging. I usually don't take my camera or phone with me on runs, but I couldn't resist capturing the beauty around me. Thank you, Esther, for allowing me to be a part of your dream!
