This must be the best soul restaurant in NC! Omg! We heard about this place by word of mouth and made this trip of Raleigh to get this delicious food... The food was so good that we take plates home after eating the buffet... My family and some of our friends will return from Raleigh to get this good food... The lady in the register and our waiter was so friendly. We will make Kinstonian a tradition in our household. I love the food and the little town hospitality that goes with it!

This place has good down home southern style cooking. The addition is that their new staff waiter and waitress tries to please customers on lunch hours on weekday. The reasons I did not give a five star is I absolutely do not consume pork of any kind and most of their cooked vegetable contain it. However, the slaw, potatoes salad, hushpupies, and my favorite is the old fashion sweet potatoes pudding is very palatable. Occasionally I eat their fried fish which is pretty tasteful and fresh on this visit. Another addition is their restrooms are cleaned and stocked on week days. The price is good for the amount of foods provided. They seem to truly appreciate their customers.

Wow, what a pleasant surprise! We arrived in this city after taking a wrong turn and were looking for somewhere to eat. After a long journey, we were eager to sit down. The packed parking lot seemed like a good sign. I went inside to check it out, and when the server mentioned it was only eight dollars per person, I couldn’t help but laugh. Who offers a dinner buffet at such a low price? The staff was incredibly polite, and the food was fantastic. Growing up in the countryside, I can say that the pinto beans and fried chicken were exceptional. Most of the diners appeared to be locals who seemed to know the staff and exhibited that classic southern hospitality. My family and I are definitely planning to return!

The food is great! The place is clean! The customer service is excellent. The greens and French fries are delicious!

This restaurant was bustling during my visit, and there was a wait to be seated. The food was fantastic, offering delicious North Carolina cuisine! I definitely indulged a bit and can't wait to return to try more dishes. If they manage to expand the seating area, I would happily give them a perfect rating of 5 out of 5!
