This charming family-owned farm-to-table restaurant allows guests to bring their own alcohol. They serve incredibly tender and flavorful grilled lamb chops (4 pieces) with a choice of sides like rice, baked potatoes, and salad for $27. In addition to their delicious lamb chops, they also offer dishes inspired by Persian and Greek cuisine that I look forward to trying next time. Overall, this restaurant offers great value and some of the best lamb chops in the West Island, all served with friendly and attentive service.
My son and I traveled to Montreal for his football tournament and found this restaurant near our hotel with good reviews. I ordered the Soltani (a combination of Filet mignon kabab and Koobideh or cattle cow kabab) and my son had the Barg Kebab (Filet mignon kabab) with rice. The food was delicious and portion sizes were just right. The restaurant had a pleasant atmosphere and was clean. However, the Filet mignon kabab was a mix of fillet mignon and a lower quality, tougher meat. The combination on the skewer meant that you alternated between a piece of fillet mignon and a less desirable cut. This was disappointing and seemed deceptive on the part of the restaurant. The service was also not very good, which is a common issue at Iranian restaurants. I would recommend avoiding the Filet mignon kabab option.
We decided to sample the Persian dishes on the menu: the ash soup with beans and noodles was a tasty and comforting choice. It was topped with fried onions and yogurt. I opted for the juju chicken skewer served with yellow rice and a grilled tomato on the side, along with a fresh salad. The restaurant allows you to bring your own wine, but we didn't this time. We are regulars here because the food is consistently delicious and made with fresh ingredients.
