Always a friendly welcome from Vicky and Malcolm. Can relax in the tv room or enjoy home cooked food in the restaurant. Definitely worth a visit.

Called in for a pint because the bar at the establishment where we were staying was a bit formal. We were welcomed initially by two wonderful friendly dogs. Then the staff also made us feel like we were almost locals. Best time we have had here in England this time around. If you are in the area call in, pet the dogs, chat to the locals and enjoy some great beer.

Stopped in for lunch after walking the dog around Scammonden. The staff were really friendly and the food good. The dog friendly public bar was quite tired in decor but we liked the puzzles and games provided!

Needed somewhere local so chose commercial local for everyone. Nice friendly warm welcome. Wife and daughter dieting as per so asked for steak new potatoes and veg no butter nothing too much trouble steaks cooked to perfection. We also had two lamb roast dinners and I had liver onions mash carrots and creamy leeks !! Outstanding! To finish treacle sponge pudding and custard ! Good food.right price.nice people Thank you and good night
