Food was amazing and great value. Service was prompt, polite and efficient. Outside of the building is a tad worn, but inside was clean and well maintained. Worth a visit and will come back again!

Why do regulars stop going to their favourite place? It's usually because it's just not the same anymore. That was our experience today when my wife and I stopped in at Metro for an early dinner.Drinks: The beer was good but my wife's cocktail seemed to be very light on the spirits and both were a bit less than full.Schnitzel: Delicious and crispy and always.Sides: This is where we had a problem. Her mashed potatoes were lumpy and lacked any flavour/salt/butter. My home fries the standard german bratkartoffeln, were old, stale, burnt, tough and chewy, no seasoning, and worst of all, clearly microwaved. That simply ruined the quality experience we had come to expect. Our server, after delivering the meals, disappeared until it was time to get the bill. I pointed out the potato issue, and asked him if he would eat something like this. No reply and no apologies when the bill came.Things just aren't as good as they used to be...

We have eaten at the Metro a number of times and it has been very good. However in on July 9 the exterior entrance has become unclean and unappealing. The interior back room was dated and uncomfortable and our Schnitzel was tough and lacked flavour. The service was very good.

I was surprised to see some bad recent reviews. I had a craving for schnitzel one night and we went to Metro Restaurant. I had the Gypsy schnitzel and it hit the spot. It was extremely tasty, a good portion size, great value for the money, and wonderful attentive staff.
