My husband, who has celiac disease, was thrilled to find three frittata options without crust. The sausage and potato frittata had just the right amount of heat from the pepper and was delightful. The BLT frittata was also excellent, packed with bacon and tomato. My husband enjoyed the gluten-free tea cakes, although he couldn't try the ones with nuts. The coffee was good and they offered cream, not just half and half, which we appreciated. The atmosphere was cozy, with comfortable armchairs, tables and a bar to choose from, as well as plenty of outlets for charging our phones. We hope to return to Leap of Taste if we ever find ourselves in the area again.
I wish I would have ordered half a veggie sandwich and a cup of soup; instead I ordered a whole hot very sandwich (that was just a little warm, not hot). It only had veggie (that were fresh and a fairly good variety) and hummus; I was ready for something else after I had half of it. There were 2 sandwich options; one hot and one cold. 2 of the 3 soups were Vegan. There no Vegan treats. They do have dog friendly seating on the outside in front of the restaurant. The staff was friendly and helpful. I wanted to go to the full Vegan restaurant in town, but it wasn’t open today. In light of the very limited options in Klamath Falls I probably would go there again; my partner seconds that. Updated from previous review on 2024-09-23
I chose their grilled breakfast burrito without cheese and egg. They graciously added avocado as a substitute and the flavor was everything I wanted it to be. I purchased a Humm Kombucha as well.
Satisfying and healthy breakfast burrito with potatoes, onions, peppers, spinach, tomato, red cabbage and avocado. Was not missing the tofu or vegan substitute cheeses or meats.
Their breakfast burrito is filled with peppery potatoes, sauteed red pepper, kale, purple cabbage onion, a generous amount of avocado, and seasoned with a yummy sauce. Wrapped in a flour tortilla, they offer a choice of either served fresh or grilled (grilled was pretty great) salsa on the side. No tofu or non-egg protein in it, but still delicious. Portion size is reasonable for one average appetite, I hear they offer vegan baked goods if you're still hungry. My latte was pretty good, but I'm still trying to figure out which plant milk I like best. Happy to find a pleasant cafe that's walkable from the train station.
