Krystal - Knoxville

We stopped in to get a sackful this evening because we were craving Krystal’s. The lady took our order and after paying had us pull forward. The gentlemen brought our order out and apologized and stated he made it fresh. Everything tasted good and fresh. He stated they were under new management and wanted to make everything right. I don 't go to Krystals often, I pretty much have to have a craving for it. But for the past week I 'd been wanting it and finally after watching TN whoop AL 's behind I was like ok let 's go get some Krystals. It was around 9 so not too close to their closing time. We get there we go through the drive thru. One car ahead of us and no one behind us. We see employees sitting out next the the building, closer to the drive thru speaker. A few are sitting and a couple are standing, so around 4/5 employees. We get up to the speaker and when asked what we wanted we said just a minute please. Well, after a lil bit of time looking, the smell of the employees cigarette smoke started coming into our vehicle, which we should have just left then because me/my dtr both have asthma but we went ahead and ordered. I got the pick 5 for $6.95, three chz Krystals and 2 small tots (because I hate the new fries they have). I asked for my Krystals without onions because I have GERD and the lady said that they come with them already on there and they would try and scrape them off! What? I have never been told that before. I was like, hmmm ok. So my husband asked about corn pups and they no longer have those. I ordered one of the new Chix. My husband orders his and we move around to the window. After we pay we sit there and for like 10 minutes we wait and watch what 's going on. There were like 2 ladies inside working while the group of employees are still outside having a smoke break. Really? When I used to work in a restaurant environment the most that could go on break were 2 at a time, not 4/5 while only 2 people stayed and worked. There were a few cars that were behind us as we were waiting. Finally, right before we were handed our food the other workers came back in. We get home, no receipt in either of our bags. The food was mediocre at best, wasn 't terrible but wasn 't as good as I was hoping, 2/3 of mine had a few onions, what Tots I did get wasn 't fresh and the new Chix was awful. The only reason it was bigger wasn 't because of the meat, it was the extra outer part and definitely not worth $3. Probably should have just gotten McDonald 's with our kids. I guess that 's why I only crave Krystals every 6 months or so. It will definitely be a long while before I go back to that location again.

The so called manager refused to give me her name and asked me what mine was. She said that her name was none of my business. I later asked a different employee what the managers name was and they said Tee. She was literally the rudest person I've ever experienced in the food service. She wasn't even in a Krystal uniform she was wearing a Nirvana Tshirt.

After a 30-minute drive, I'm still unsure about the business model here. I've noticed more cars leaving than staying, which suggests they should pay attention to the negative reviews and focus on improving their store and staff. Ultimately, I decided to leave too. I placed a mobile order at McDonald's and got my food in just 2 minutes.

If I could leave 0 stars I so would ! Most worst customer service this restaurant has. I have called 23 times to speak to a manager about this disgusting food I just got and they hung up on me twice and then took their phone off the hook. Will never buy ANYTHING from Krystal’s ever again. Worse service I have ever received. Do better you POS restaurant ! ?
