The Island Cafe - Knysna

What a stunning hotel located in the most lovely and tranquil surroundings. Every course served at the restaurant was exceptional, and the breakfast was equally impressive.

Our bedroom was spacious and the bathroom was truly stunning, featuring double sinks, a shower cubicle, and a separate bathtub. We also enjoyed a private balcony that overlooked the pool and the picturesque homes and harbors of Thesen Island. Breakfast was outstanding, and the staff were incredibly kind and attentive. We dined at local restaurants during our stay, all of which were also excellent. I would definitely return; it was great value for money. P.S. Thank you for sending my shirt to my next hotel!

I spent a night at this beautiful hotel last week and I couldn't find anything to complain about. The idea of designing the hotel around the turbines of a retired power station is fantastic; the building’s industrial heritage shines through in various details, including the metal napkin holders. The room was wonderful, and it was incredibly relaxing to unwind in a large, fluffy white bathrobe! Dinner was excellent, with high-quality food and generous portions, all at a surprisingly reasonable price for a five-star hotel. Overall, it's an outstanding place to stay in Knysna.

A unique and wonderful hotel that I highly recommend to everyone. I had the delightful experience of a full choir singing "Happy Birthday" to me during breakfast, which truly made my day. It's a very special place with a fantastic location.
