The cafe is operated and staffed by volunteers. The atmosphere is very warm and friendly and the staff is very friendly. Please check in advance for opening hours and any event taking place. The presentations are often in Danish and focused on exotic and rare travel destinations. I really enjoyed my visit.

Cozy cafe/bar with a good atmosphere. Many well-traveled guests who were happy to share exciting travel stories.

It is all types of people that visit Cafe Globen and one thing they all have in common, is that they love to travel. So step by the bar, enjoy a beer and get inspired.
As most foreigners visiting or living in Denmark know it is hard to get to know the local Danes. I am an expat and lived here for the past few years. This is one of the few places in Copenhagen (maybe the only cafe! that you can talk and make friends with some Danes. They are very friendly and open to all cultures and non-judgmental. It is a non-profit cafe and you can meet Danes who have traveled off the regular tourist path and hear some very interesting stories and get great tips about travel off the regular tourist path. Beer selection and prices are great and you can bring your own food in to eat. So whether you are tourist or a living in Denmark, this is great place to visit on weekdays. If you are new expat this is a gem of a place to visit.
