Pho Saigon - Koebenhavn

We were so lucky our friend is a regular and the restaurant squeezed 7 of in for Saturday dinner. As Melbournians we are accustomed to great Vietnamese food. Pho Saigon is a beautiful restaurant to be in. Warm and wonderful staff. Then the food... 4 course set menu at DK 385 for really good food. All the taste sensations that is Vietnamese food, balanced flavours and good quality produce.

This restaurant offers delicious authentic Vietnamese dishes in reasonable prices. The people are friendly and efficient. The place is clean and cozy.

Ordered 3 full meals for take out. I got notice that meal would be ready 19.43. showed up 19.45 they hadn't started preparing yet. Got the food 20.10... 50mins total wait. The kitchen is open and you can watch the chefs sweating in the food. Quality in general is poor

Due to lack of ventilation the restaurant is a sauna in summer. Furthermore we were sitten to the window even further away from the weak ventilator for extra pleasure . The rice is a disgrace without anything and not properly coocked. Other items in the menu are only accaptable, not better. The deep-fried dishes are only fried that way to hide the poor quality of the food. The service is not existing. We were the only people in the restaurant an were ignored by the waitress all the time while she was sitting across the room drinking and chatting with another woman. We had to actively go to her to receive service.

I am very family with Vietnamese cuisine and this place did not live up to my expectations....to say the least. The broth of the phô lacked flavors (it was very watered down). The service was slow even though the restaurant wasn’t busy. The man (manager/owner) was very arrogant. If you love Vietnamese food, this is not the restaurant to visit.
