Írjon visszajelzéstI love this restaurant, and it gets my previously ungranted 'nothing is ever as good as my mom 's cooking ' seal of approval, because you know what? This place has the best home cooked meals, 100% South Indian comfort food. In case this testimony hasn 't convinced you, let me plainly assert that the place is truly authentic great appam 's, delicious crab stew, and try the rasmalai for dessert ravishing I say. This is a unique restaurant offering a dining experience to satisfy all aspects of fine cuisine: alcohol, service, ambience and atmosphere. the menu reflects the diverse nature of south indian cooking, steeped in the classics while offering deft touches of modernity. Don 't miss it.
As authentic as it gets! Lovely place with the yummiest food possible! A delightful place for both vegetarians and non vegetarians!
The TTR is an unassuming place. Settle down into your seat and the senses take over. The sights and smell are different from what you have experienced before. The outdoor section is beautifully designed in warm tones with nice muted furniture. It is aesthetic and comfortable as well. The food is divine and I have to admit I over ate! The mini idlis with gunpowder was superb and two plates went down the hatch with amazing swiftness! The Jackfruit pakodas were nice. The mutton cutlet was a tad bit spicy but yummy. The chicken wings were delicious and I have never had anything like this before. The surmai fry was a simple one like how we make at home! The Avial was dry but delicious. The prawn curry was nice and similar to my mom's bengali prawn curry. The chicken gravy was mildly flavoured and super. I loved the tamrind rice and the coconut rice. Overall it was too much to handle. I guess a few more trips are required to taste all the dishes. Yummmy!
There 's no doubt that we love Goan, Manglorean and East Indian food. However, there are times we do something out of the ordinary and we feel mighty glad we did it Like just spotting 'The Tanjore Tiffin Room ' and walking inside just for the heck of it. It took us less than a minute to realize where the reataurant got its name from. Right from the ambience to the food everything got us enthralled. The pork...the softest I have ever eaten. The pomfret...fresh as ever. The marination...super tasty The best part....they allow you to taste the curries before you place your order. The steward explains the different ways the curries are prepared. This restaurant at Versova is definately a must visit to all the food lovers
