St. O'hara Irish Pub - Kostroma

The food is unbelievably delicious, and the Irish atmosphere is exactly what we love. A huge thank you to the chef, the bartender, and the waitstaff because we couldn't resist coming back to you again. The presentation of the mackerel and mushrooms is a true art form. Thank you! We will definitely be back!

It's just an ordinary pub. The beer selection is a bit limited, and they don't have much in stock. However, the fried shrimp are outstanding. I highly recommend trying them if you stop by!

However, there are a few downsides: the waitstaff does not greet new guests upon their arrival. You only find out that certain dishes are unavailable at the time of ordering, rather than when receiving the menu. No one checks in to see if you enjoyed your meal. It’s also unclear whether a table has been reserved or not. We sat at a booth, but the waiter asked us to move because the table was actually booked, even though there were no “Reserved” signs displayed. In a small dining area and corridor leading to the exit, there were only two waitstaff working, and tables weren’t marked as occupied. We were relocated to a table that had no light fixture above it. It would be nice if they placed candles on the tables, so you wouldn’t have to squint to read the menu. P.S. If you’re planning to order the beer platter, be aware that the wings are heavily salted. And if one wing is overcooked to the point of being charred, don’t worry—they’ll leave it on your plate instead of throwing it away.
