Silva Daskalaki Winery - Κρήτης

We had the full “platinum” experience which included nine wines, 6 types of food, and, normally, a short tour of the winery and a visit to a vineyard. The tour and visit could not happen for operational reasons which is a shame, maybe it could have been mentioned when we made the reservation. Very special, good quality natural wines and a very nice sommelier

The best was the food that you can take with the tasting.very good quality. In the cellar they did not show us the barrels. The stainless steel tanks are outdoors, really it is a facility nit for showing!!. We tasted a large part of the winery's wines (from 2016) and they definitely do not have aging capacity, showing themselves to be evolved.

Highly recommend this boutique winery not far from Heraklion city centre. We had a wonderful wine tasting, professionally delivered by Christos. Knowledge of the grape, terroir, wine making process and Crete in general started our wine exploration of Crete in the most incredible way. We couldn’t walk away without some bottles, which after a fantastic tasting match up to many of Europes top wines. A winery to watch, we’ll be enjoying Silva Wines for many years to come. Highly recommend!
