The food was really tasty and filling, great after a long day of sightseeing. The location is pretty hidden, but if you have a good GPS you'll find it no problem. We even saw Bambi on our way. If you are after a good, honest meal for a good price, this is a place I would recommend.
I would recommend eating here, especially if you are staying in the hotel.
We had dinner here, but the quality of the food wasn't good. In addition, some of the vegetables were not boiled well in the shrimp (e.g. crispy potatoes in the potato salad). The waiters reacted rudely and unprofessionally when we discuss the questions.
My wife and I had a quick stop for a coffee cake. We don't have enough adjectives to describe the quality of the cakes. IMHO these were among the best cakes we ever had, if not THE best. Pictures attached. Service was superb. Price was very reasonable.
My husband and I are currently visiting Golling, my husband's hometown. We were both very impressed with the quality of food and service at the Torrenerhof. We didn't do the buffet, but we are sure it is just as good. Make sure to save room for the Kaiserschmarrn. We will be back at least once before we leave.
