Yokobachi - Kumamoto

A great izakaya place with a lively vibe. Had my first taste of horse sashimi here and it's one of their specialties. I must say that I lack the palate to appreciate raw horse meat; it seemed less tasty than other types of meat.

If you're looking for a cozy izakaya with good and affordable food this is a good choice.

Very nice Izakaya with a wide range of tasty dishes. You can also sit outside in the yard, which is very nice in summer. Very popular, hence you better make a reservation.

Had a feast here! We went to an early dinner with our toddler. The staff was nice, the food was delicious and quickly arrived. There was a mix of tatami floor seat and a few tables. We had horse carpaccio, sashimi, onigiri, noodle soup and other bits and breasts. I'd like to go back and try more. At the moment, of course, no alcohol is served.
