Gyoza No Ohsho Shijo Omiya - Kyoto

Ate a 6 piece gyoza, large fried rice, small stir fry beef, small chicken karaage, 1 lemon chuhai, 1 orange chuhai. So much variety and all really good. Even though it was packed with people, the workers got the food to us pretty quickly.

Went there yesterday since I was in the mood for some チンジャーロース and I knew it was very cheap since it's a chain restaurant. However, I was not prepared for the sheer amount of people that were waiting in line. The kitchen on the first floor was clearly understaffed you can't really have only 5 people serve 75 all at once. I was sitting on a counter right in front of the cooks so I could hear them panting and saying they can't take it anymore. Props to them for not giving up! Those 5 people were the real heroes! The gyoza was tasty but the chinja was oilier than I expected. However, I ate plenty for only 800 yen. Had to wait for just that more than 40 minutes but I guess it's worth it for the price alone (I know a nearby restaurant that sells the same dish for about 1700 yen! Maybe if I went at a different time of day things would have been different (I went at 4:30 pm .

Like the flavors. And also the service was good, although they did not seem to be able to speak English, still treated us with respectable manners. They worked with smiles on the faces, impressive.

Really tasty gyoza. Reccomend coming here for their gyoza very juicy and fresh. Along with their crab rice omelette. Great value for money.
