Beautifully executed kaiseki. Everything was delicious. Definitely recommend this place. Totally worth it.

I gave four stars to the ambient, presentation and services but deduct a star for the food which was good but unsurprising. Most importantly, it is just not worth the price which was very high. I prefer Kikunoi.

Do not go there. It is a scam. I mean food is ok. But there is nothing to go crazy about. Specially for 30 000Yen. It is a rip off... It was not better then the 10 000y dinner we had the night before. Please do not go there and don't listen to the other reviews. Search a bit more!

We think we have managed to be happy to have an evening reservation on short notice in this restaurant. in fact it was unforgettable. among our favorite: warm sacrira blossom tea, scallop and uni in vinegar, small rice bowl with clams, raw juur with ginger, marinated cubes with red pfeffer, grilled ayu and steamed nigata steamed white rice with thin slices of tamago and dried garnel.

Polite yet friendly staff and exceptional food. They are accommodating for menu preferences if you call ahead and explain. Anyway you will need to book in advance as it is deservingly popular. Not your typical Kyoto restaurant, and the service is so incredibly kind and inviting.
