Tiramisu Trattoria - La Belle

Small cozy Italian restaurant. When we came at 5pm on a Friday we had the place to ourselves for about an hour. They have an extensive menu and daily specials. A good sized wine list as well. Booths line both walls and a few tables in between. There's also a small outdoor dining area perfect for pets and people watching. The waitstaff were attentive and super nice. Good food. Various breads and oil and vinegar when you are seated. Delish. I'll be back. -The area has a lot of foot and car traffic and metered parking can be difficult to come by.

During Covid, we have been exploring all the restaurants in the area to show our support for small businesses in San Diego. The food at this restaurant was exceptional. We have found our new go-to spot for Italian cuisine in the neighborhood.

I had been searching for an authentic Italian meal since having to move back here from Italy in 2015. I looked for awhile. I had eaten everywhere else around the area that said they were authentic Italian that simply weren’t even close. That is until I moved down the street from Tiramisu. Owner is a very friendly, dedicated, boisterous, welcoming , and just seemed to love his restaurant, his customers, his employees and most important of all.....the quality of his dishes that were being served. I have been a regular for a little over a year now and will continue going. Let’s all hope this gem survives our.....lockdown? Grounding? Punishment? Whatever this nonsense drags out longer then it should’ve......SMH..... Fact is, you need to eat here. Period.

Took my girly here last week. Great food and atmosphere. Ate outside and the weather was perfect. The rigatoni norcina was so tasty. The pizza was delicious. And, the cannoli was probably the best I have had since moving to the West coast (many, many years ago). Will be coming back again for sure!

Note to self: most stores in downtown La Mesa are closed on Monday.
