Írjon visszajelzéstI want to share one of our current favorite go to spots for sushi that we are obsessed with They have a Peruvian Japanese fusion menu that is amazing! Their fish is always so fresh and their dishes are so yummy! The service is super quick and the ambiance is family friendly but great for a date night as well. . Chilean sea bass was divine. I have never had a grilled octopus so tender. Sashimi and ceviche were excellent. Service was on top of it too, great teamwork and very friendly.
My husband and I went here a few nights ago for dinner. We tried the Tiradito Sampler, Jalapeño Bomb, GSYT Roll, and 4 in 1 Roll. We tried the Dassal 50 Sake and had a few Maracuya Sours as our drinks (highly recommend the Maracuya Sours, very tasty! Also thank you to our waitress for recommending it to us! It wasn't cheap, but the food and drinks were delicious. The only thing that had room for improvement was the jalapeño bombs. They were good, but they needed more sauce and flavor. The service was great, and we had a very attentive waitress. The ambiance of the restaurant was nice as well and very modern with football on the tv. We will definitely be back!
I have dined in a number of times but this one time I decided to order out and there truly is no difference in quality and the way the food was presented and delivered for my to go order made it feel like I was dining in. I ordered a rainbow roll, fresh shrimp (the fried heads were done just right), blue fin tuna (nice thick slices), scallop sashimi (so fresh)! And thanks to Luis for taking my order even before they open at 5 pm.
I 've been here many times.. food and service has always been consistently great! When I first started coming here, I noticed that there were a lot of regulars whom the waitresses and chefs knew. I would consider myself one of them now, and can see why they have so many. Located in the plaza on Whittier and Idaho, there is plenty of parking. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. They have heaters, but the couple of times we were seated outside, they didn 't have them on. Maybe have to ask them to turn them on? We always order the same thing whenever we come here. I 've heard restaurant workers have nicknames for regulars. If I had to guess what our names would be, it would be the nigiri couple... the toros...? *shrugs* Anyways, that might give you a hint as to what we always order! We always get an order of salmon and toro nigiri... without wasabi. The freshly cut, buttery pieces of fish are a show-stopper (in my opinion) and served on a perfect amount of rice. Oh, we also get the Mita Mita roll. Most times, we 'll get unagi and uni nigiri. I love it when the unagi is slightly crispy outside, but still soft on the inside. I 've never had a bad uni experience here (you know.. when it tastes like the ocean). And then, gotta wash all that down with a bottle (or 2) of Orion. Right before I moved, we were coming here every Friday night. I live further away now, but still always find time for Higo.
