Zumbar Coffee And Tea - La Jolla

The coffee here is excellent, and the freshly roasted beans are fantastic. I really appreciate that they offer a 2 lb bag for sale.

Despite its odd location, rough road, limited parking, and nearby train traffic, this place is fantastic! They roast their beans on-site, which is a big deal for me, and they truly understand the art of roasting. It's similar to baking bread; just having an oven doesn't guarantee great results. Fortunately, they know how to make a great espresso, so I'm on board. I get the sense that they're just biding their time until a prime spot opens up in La Jolla or Del Mar to really showcase their talent to the world.

I had a wonderful experience at this cafe. The coffee was fantastic, and the staff was friendly. I ordered a red eye, which was served quickly. I also picked up a bag of the Ethiopian Dinkinesh Hirbaye, and it has delightful notes of peach, spice, and strawberry. Additionally, I tried their vegan morning glory muffin, which was moist, dense, and absolutely delicious!

They make great lattes here! We got a classic oat milk latte and an iced dirty chai and they were both amazing, thank you!

Without a doubt, this is the best mocha I've ever tasted. It's perfectly balanced, not overly sweet, and the espresso has a fresh flavor. They roast the beans right behind the counter. If you're a coffee purist, you haven’t experienced true coffee until you visit this place.
