Le Mail - La Rochelle

While many rocky restaurateur let themselves out the first days of summer, here they remain warm, to come, to listen. Moreover, we will have lunch properly without ruining ourselves. the value-price ratio is indeed excellent. That's why it's one of the best addresses in the city.

We rang for a late booking on a rainy evening and were there soon after. Miserable weather but an outstanding restaurant with fantastic food and a very laid back, friendly, welcoming atmosphere. We dined form the a la carte menu and the steak was phenomenal. Oysters to start with with a vinegar made in Cognac. We both thought the price was amazing as it was about the same price as a terrible meal, in the tourist area, we had unfortunately had the night before. Please if you are in La Rochelle you must visit this gem of a restaurant.

The restaurant itself is gorgeous. The staff were so welcoming. The owner of the restaraunt was nice enough to translate the entire menu to us and make recommendations. We were very well attended to and enjoyed the A la carte menu. The food was all amazing and we were able to try and enjoy new thing we never had before. Must visit for la rochelle!

Amazing family run restaurant with beautiful alley sea view. The food and service outstanding. Highly recommended to visit.

Very nice restaurant. Walking distance from the center of town, on an avenue that borders the sea. Service was attentive, friendly, and quick. Prices are reasonable. The food was excellent, with a decent range of traditional French dishes. A very nice place in La Rochelle.
