Pollos El Gallo - La Vernia

We ordered hamburgers that came with fries, but the fries were drenched in grease – so much so that I had to blot them with my napkin. The hamburger had an unusual texture, so I asked my husband for his opinion, and he described his as tasting "a little funny." I initially thought it might just be the cheese, but after a few more bites, I cut into the burger and discovered that the meat was gray and mushy. When the waitress checked on us, I voiced my concerns about the meal. By that point, my husband had already finished his. She offered to bring us chips or a baked potato, but I declined mainly out of concern for the quality. She assured me that the cook insisted everything was homemade, and that’s just how they always are. However, I shouldn’t be able to spread cooked hamburger with a knife. Despite the issues, we ended up paying for our meals. While other menu items may be better, I certainly won't return to find out. I just hope we don't end up feeling sick from this experience.
