Pho Kim Chi - Lackawanna

Great humble spot for some fantastic Vietnamese! The banh mi was so good! Fresh, light, crispy baguette. So so good. Vietnamese pancakes were tasty. Also had pad thai and crispy egg noodle stir fry, some bomb chicken wings, tasty spring and egg rolls. Everything was great. We basically ate everything on the menu and promised ourselves we'd be back! If you're in WNY, this is a hidden gem that you need to check out.

This use to be a favorite of my wife and I but unfortunately not any longer. I ordered the 14 E, in fact, I have ordered the grilled beef with rice and egg over a dozen times. In fact, it’s all I ordered anytime we go to Pho which we’ve eaten all around the county.The food came and was tasty but I noticed the first piece of beef was tough, then the second was tough, and then 4 pieces of beef were nothing but fat and cartilage. So tough that I couldn’t even chew it, so tough that I wouldn’t even give it to my dogs for worry that they may choke.I very politely told the waitress that it is mostly fat/cartilage pieces and that I can’t even chew it. She took my plate to the kitchen and asked the chef if he could replace the beef.When she came back with my chewed beef still on my plate and told me that’s how beef is, and if I don’t like it I should have ordered the chicken I was taken aback(note earlier when I said this is all I’ve ever gotten at Pho).I asked her to please remove it from my bill, and I’d be happy to pay for our app, as well as my wife’s meal. She then returned and said all she could take off was $4.00. I was disappointed as this was the meal I picked for Father’s Day dinner.I’m not sure if this was a one off, but we’ve come here dozens of times and the food has always been good, unfortunately we won’t be returning.

Food is very fresh and delicious! Very accommodating when I ordered but didn't realize it was spicy. They gave me new order.

I have been here 3 times. I had the Pho each time, and it was good. Other food I tasted was good. Service, good. Nice view of the Basilica from my booth. Cool interior but really dirty rugs, and local news on TV killing the vibe in an otherwise quiet, pleasant place.

So disappointing. Nothing was even a little bit good. Ordered spring rolls, and they were very blah,broken rice was literally just white rice and we ordered grilled shrimp as the protein. So I don't recommend it even if you don't know how Vietnamese or Thai food is supposed to taste. The Vietnamese coffee was amazing but everything else was not even close to what it should have been. Bahn Mi was scant and the roll was a rock. Majorly disappointed.
