Wigwam Restaurant - Ladysmith

I decided to take a night off from cooking so we checked the various restaurant reviews online and decided to go with the Wigwam. We ordered various dishes so we could all share and I must say, everything was great. We had chow mein, almond chicken, sweet and sour pork and deep fried prawns.

The sweet and sour pork and chow mein lunch special contained literally three small pieces of pork and a thin serving of chow mein. The soy sauce tasted too strong so ruined the overcooked noodles. So bad that I should have walked out without paying and donated to a charity instead of throwing money away.

Was recommended to me by a friend....what a mistake. had the smorg..the veggies in the rice were frozen and there was some gray ham in there (?)...the sweet and sour sauce had literally no taste at all...was neither sweet nor sour. i refused to either try some of the dishes cuz they just smelled like old rotten food! my hubby had a spring roll with artificial crab log...couldnt finish it and his chow mein tasted just like pam the cooking spray. will never go back. still burping up bad grease!

This is where the grand parents and parents take their kids. Personable owner, that recognizes families.

With a name like Wigwam, you wouldn't expect fantastic Vietnamese food, but you'll find it at the Wigwam. The Canadian food is fine, classic greasy spoon stuff, Chinese food is reasonable, but what shines is the Vietnamese. And there are so many choices! I'm drooling thinking about it. Mmmm
