Cafe Bella - Lafayette

I went to the restaurant with a woman and some of her friends at lunchtime. We tried the special of the day and it was absolutely delicious. The service was also excellent and the restaurant was impeccably clean. The owner, Jack, joined us and we had a great conversation about Italy. He was very knowledgeable and funny. Overall, it was a top-notch experience.

I went to Cafe Bella to meet up with friends at the bar. The atmosphere was lovely and I had heard great things about the food. Even though I didn't order any food myself, I couldn't help but feel a little jealous when I saw the dishes coming out. I'll have to bring my lady here for dinner soon.

We enjoyed our food and experience at Cafe Bella. It was our first time here and when we walked in, it seemed warm and inviting. The wait staff were very friendly and attentive. The food was good with a little Cajun spice flare, which set it apart from most Italian restaurants. The only disappointment came when I was told they were out of the Spaghetti Vongole after I ordered it and had to order lasagna instead, which turned out to be delicious. Also, no salad comes with the meal and when asked if there was a dinner salad, the waitress said, “oh yes,” but she didn’t say it was the actual full salad on the menu and we would be charged full price for it. The Caesar salad had a horseradish taste and the croutons had a kick to them. Other than that, everything was great.

The eggplant dip is served with crispy chips which is amazing. The pasta dishes are mediocre. I asked the waiter if the pasta is homemade and she said yes.. but it was clearly not.
