Shirley's Country Kitchen - Lagrange

I've heard so many people rave about Shirley's, so I had to give it a try. The food was fantastic! It brought back memories of how my grandma used to cook. And I can't forget to mention her custards and cobblers—they're incredible! I highly recommend everyone try Shirley's; you won't be disappointed.

This is an excellent spot for southern cuisine. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the dining experience has a cafeteria-style vibe. Food: 5/5.

Vegetarian options: There were several vegetables, all seasoned to perfection. Wheelchair accessibility: It's manageable.

It's tough to come across a non-chain restaurant on the interstate. Although we didn't get to eat here since they were closed, the place looks fantastic, and the bathrooms at the truck stop were very clean.

This is in a truck stop and the local people love eating here. Travelers along with truckers will stop to eat here. The question is why do they miss out on some of the best opportunities to make money. They are closed on the weekends. Most people travel on the weekends. In trucking most shippers and receivers are closed. So the truckers will find a place to accommodate those days. Breakfast lunch dinner. Also they close at 5pm. Most truckers stop driving for the day after 5pm. Saturday the parking lot has many truckers in the parking lot and they are closed. Truckers will note they are closed on weekends and at 5 pm. And spend their money somewhere else. It's a missed business opportunity.
