Írjon visszajelzéstThe shave ice here is so awesome! And the coconut ice cream was so good at the bottom I could eat just a bowl of it.
Every time I go to Maui, I basically eat my weight in shaved ice from Ululani's. My favorite is the Hawaiian Root Bear Float with a snow cap . I have only been to the two Lahaina locations, which I assume did not survive the fire . There is another location in Paia though, and hopefully they will return to Lahaina and rebuild.
10/10, easily the best shave ice I've ever had. The menu was huge, the ice cream was delicious, and the ice on top was so refreshing.
It 's not a lie Ululani 's is simply and unequivocally the best shaved ice in Hawaii, in my opinion. After having been to Matsumoto 's (Oahu), Shimazu (Oahu), Wailua Shave Ice (Kauai, a good runner up), JoJo 's Shave Ice (Kauai, one of the worst I 've had), Beach Street Shave Ice, and several others (that I can 't remember the names of), Ululani 's is hands down the best shave ice in terms of the fluffiness, taste, and flavor selection. Here 's the thing each place has their strength and weaknesses (some more than others). Want the best bang for your buck? Go to Matsumoto 's or Shimazu. Want basic syrup flavors that just scream SUUUUUGARRRRR? Go to Shimazu or some hole in the wall place. Want a combo drink/shave ice shop? Go to Beach Street. Want delicious and quality, natural tasting flavors in the perfect ice? Go to Ululani 's, any of them on the island. Ululani 's ain 't perfect, though. The average person might think paying $7.50 for a large shave ice that 's seemingly similar to a small size at other places (no joke, the large is actually not that large). But, you 're getting what you pay for (to an extent). My family have been visiting Maui for the past 17 years and we go to Ululani 's at least 3 4 times a visit. We 've seen the chain expand and even seen when the Lahaina location switched spots! We 'll continue to love Ululani 's for the years to come, as we hope you would too!
Amazing flavors! My hope is they are able to open and recover in Lahaina after the recent fire.
