Írjon visszajelzéstWe recently stayed for the first time at the Marriott Courtyard in Laie for five nights as part of an extended stay on Oahu. As is always the case, it is the staff that distinguishes a property from others. In the case of the Courtyard, we were extremely impressed with the quality and friendliness of the wonderful staff. Not sure where to start. I will begin with David who is the overnight front desk manager on the weekends. He was tireless in his efforts to assist me with my WIFI issues in the middle of the night. He helped trouble shoot and resolve my problems at 3:00 in the morning no less, and was very glad to help out. Another thing that stood out in this property was the centrally located pool/playgroud area. This is a completely fenced in area that contains the pool/hotbub and numerous games. This would be an ideal environment for small children. as you do not have to worry about them wandering off. This entire property is very family oriented and looked as though it was heavily utilized by people with young children. This is a very quiet property, if you are looking for hustle and bustle head to Honolulu. We enjoyed the proximity to other areas of the North Shore such as the Bonzai Pipeline which is about 15 minutes away by car. Surf was not monstrous when we were there but it was pretty cool to stand on that iconic beach and watch people surf the swell that was there. Billabong was preparing for a big tourney while we visited. Other North Shore activities worth noting was a visit to Giovanni's Shrimp Food Truck. It is located about 5 minutes from the hotel on the side of the highway as you head towards Halawei. We had the lemon shrimp and was very good. Place is crazy busy but the line goes quickly. Back to the property. Due to circumstances we needed to eat on property several times. Being accustomed to standard hotel food our expectation bar was set pretty low. We were very suprised as the food at the cafe was outstanding ! Worth mentioning were the tomato soup and the chicken Caesar salad. More importantly, was the quality of service from the counter people and the servers. Ilona and Taleah were the best. They made our meals to be memorable. Very nice people. Our room was spacious and again very quiet. We happened to enjoy a view of the ocean which was very enjoyable. One last comment on the staff. On one day of our visit we were experiencing a big wind storm that knocked out power to the area. Upon returning to the property after an outing to find the power out, we were personally led to our room by a staff member with a flashlight and opened our room and instructed us how to use a light that would still work even without the power. They then called us up to let us know of activities that they had set up in the lobby for the guests while the power was out. Really extraordinary. At the end of the day we were really impressed by this property and would definitely stay here again. Cost is very reasonable, and location is good. As said before, outstanding staff made all the difference. Great job !
My wife and I were there for 7 nights and just loved it. The room with two queens was spacious and spotless, and we were so impressed with the front desk personnel. Any problem or concern we expressed was immediately handled. When we had questions about sites to see or how to use our iPhones there, somone at the front desk helped us. The bonus was its closeness to the Polynesian Culture Center, which we visited.
I wish we had found another place. The professionals: location is ok; Beach access is just a short walk and beach is great. Pool is good. Bad: small space, everything is made of cheap plastic; extremely loud due to the bad construction you can hear any noise from the other rooms and outside. Windows cannot be opened, who builds hotels like this??? Then there was a horde of 100 college kids that only caused a huge jerk terrible. Bistro is like cheap cafeteria food completely forgotten and overpriced. One of the worst aspects of this hotel is that is roughly overpriced $320/night?? Give me a break. A good price would be $120 150. It is enough to say that we will not return.
The front desk employee was very friendly. I appreciate there is an on-site cafe. Unfortunately, the menu had no vegan option other than fries. Also, they serve everything in to-go boxes after a certain time. It also seemed unnecessary to charge for parking since there's a private lot; it's not a busy area like Waikiki. Pros: clean room, live music, cultural activities, hot tub/pool Cons: expensive, paid parking, no substantial vegan food options
Stayed here for a girls galentines trip and it was amazing. We had the suite with an ocean view, which was beautiful! The staff was so nice and attentive! Even gave us chocolates for valentines so sweet! It is also right next to the beautiful PCC, with the market there too! So we would stop by there to get breakfast before heading out! When we come back we are for sure staying here again!
