Caramels@Cathie - LAKE CATHIE

This is our go to spot when we fill like a great feed. Service and food are always spot on but sometimes if the breeze is up it can get quite chilly sitting outside if you can not get a table out of the wind.

We had lunch here on a drive from Sydney to Port Macquarie. The first person we past here told us this was the best coffee around. He was not wrong. We had the Signature Open Omelette and the Caramels Specialty. The omelette is like a pizza where the base is an omelette and very good, and the specialty is a caramel and banana bonanza. We will be back.

This cafe has lovely food and coffee, and friendly, helpful staff. I visited with two friends and we each had a serve of scones and tea/coffee. We could easily have had one serve of scones between the three of us.

Caramels is the only coffee shop in Lake Cathie so its popular with locals. The coffee and food are good and the service is friendly. They have improved the atmosphere with the addition of outdoor shading. I love the variety offered on the menu and it's a great place to catch up with friends.

The lack of view from this coffee house, is compensated by a great cup of coffee, and many tempting treats. Staff are helpful and efficient. They even offered our dog a drink! Only drawback is lack of wifi, a must in this day and age.
