Saltgrass Steak House - Lake Charles

Food good. Nothing great and pricey for what we got. I had shrimp Caesar salad and he had a seafood omelet and we both had ice tea and it was $72. So with tip $85. Not that great for the price tag.

This spot is a must. The manage went above and beyond to help our large party. We originally had a reservation for 18 but last minute it turned to 24. The manager didn’t bat an eye at how he could help accommodate the rest of our party. We had set menu due to our large party size and it worked perfectly for us. The steaks and redfish were both amazing quality. Drinks were coming out fast despite how busy they were. Great view in the back near water. If staying at the golden nugget, walk out the back of the pool area to get here. If staying at the hotel next to this one, one may want to drive but if you don’t mind a walk, the boardwalk is perfect to get you there.

We've gone to this restaurant probably a dozen times and also came out satisfied except for the last time. We sat at 6:15 and didn't get our main course till 7:30. The  Pontchartrain sauce was extremely salty. Otherwise the food was good. We had an 8 pm concert to get to and the server knew this but still was slow. He kept walking back and forth but was doing anything. Noticed his other tables were taking awhile to get service. Then he gave us the wrong bill that took an additional 15-20 min and manager intervention to resolve. And we didn't receive any comp. Again they know us there so a little disappointed.

I have been to Chart House several times. It never disappoints. Beautiful restaurant with a wonderful view. Overlooks Golf course looking into bay. Service was professional. Food was wonderful. Steak slightly under cooked and had to be sent back but a wonderful flavor. They are paying attention to details. Well worth the visit.

Came for the oysters and they did not disappoint. French dip was amazing too. Love the view. All around wonderful experience. Definitely recommend. They take reservations but accommodated us walking in.
