Royal Rasoi - Lake Forest

This place is a hidden gem. Your location is not so easy to find, but it is worth finding because your food is delicious! This place was recommended to me by my friends from India and the food tastes exactly what my friends are doing when visiting. I enjoyed the Lamb Biryani and Chicken Tikka Masala because they are tasteful and authentic. The place also looks elegant. Finally, thanks to our server for our free desserts! I wanted to try Gulab Jamun and I love it! Can't wait to visit again. (Remember to remind the servers about the desired spice level!!

So every once in a while I have a strong craving for some Indian food! I searched Yelp (of course) for Indian food around the area I was running my errands. Up comes Royal Rasoi! I had the chicken tikka Masala and Chicken Curry with some amazing garlic naan and Minced Meat Samosas. Everything was so tasty and well prepared and packaged (had to order to go). Very reasonable prices as well! I wish I knew about this place per Covid so I could've tried out there AYCE buffet!! Yes please!!!

Great Indian buffet. Always a good sign when one of the dishes is goat. The fresh garlic naan came out with a beautiful buttery glisten that tempts you to eat it as soon as the basket lands on the table. Service was 1st rate and I never had to ask for a water refill, they just did it and well before I got to the bottom of the glass. To top it off it was only $10 for the lunch buffet. They have excellent samosas and other vegetarian options at their buffet as expected of a quality Indian restaurant so there is something for everyone.

I dined at Royal Rasoi yesterday evening, and the experience was delightful. The ordering process went smoothly, and the food and drinks arrived promptly. I highly recommend trying the mangolassia; it’s a cool and creamy mango drink that strikes the perfect balance—not too sweet, but refreshing enough to satisfy. The food was exceptional, featuring authentic Indian flavors that truly invigorated my taste buds.

The food is truly delicious. I had the opportunity to try several dishes, and my favorite drink is the mango lassi—it’s a creamy and flavorful mango beverage that I really enjoyed. The buffet is outstanding, featuring a delightful creamy spinach dish along with homemade cheese. The service here is excellent as well. A special shoutout to Mr. Kashmir, who brings such positive energy to the place.
