Wasabe Japanese - Lake Forest

This restaurant is truly one-of-a-kind. I've never tried fried rice like this before. The beef noodle soup was incredibly flavorful, thick, and satisfying. It reminded me of a beef bone or chicken bone soup, but felt much healthier. I will definitely be returning to try more dishes. I also ordered the spicy and delicious salted chicken to go. The server was fantastic! Despite being the only one working, he was attentive and generous.

I usually don't enjoy fish soup, but this restaurant serves a delicious version. The broth is rich and flavorful without being overly fishy, and they don't use MSG. This is definitely one of my go-to spots.

Came here with the recommendation from friends. Ordered rice noodle with house special fish soup and garlic Basil fried rice. The food was humm nothing to wow about and the price was a bit too high IMHO.

Ordered their house special and also the spicy soups (will definitely try their others). No idea how some people think it is bland, I feel like they could use less salt, since the broth is incredibly rich. Had leftovers in the fridge that congealed 100% (meaning the broth is rich with lots of fish protein), but reheated nicely. Ordered with rice noodles and agaric (black mushroom/fungi) also with fish/seafood proteins. Will definitely be going back when I want hearty soup. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful, funny how I found this place looking up the nearest Wierschnitzel on Google Maps.

This restaurant is pretty clever and unique for a Chinese restaurant! Their menu has a bit of everything but I especially like their beef tongue and (numbing) spicy intestines
