Italian Garden Grill - Lake Jackson

The restaurant has a lovely romantic ambiance with candlelight. The karaoke features talented country music singers, which adds to the atmosphere without being too loud. Both the food and service were excellent, making it a very relaxing experience overall.

My family and I have celebrated a special occasion and decided to try this despite mixed reviews, and we are so glad that we did. Every employee we treated tried to make us welcome and visit. The bread was fresh and soft, the salad cold and crisp and the drinks refilled. My husband had the baked Tuscany, which was described as having a spicy sauce, but it had only enough of a kick to improve the taste of the dish; I ordered the Rigatoni de piasola, the a brighter white wine sauce, well paired with the artichoke hearts and spinach in the bowl, and our 2 years old and 4 years old demolished the children baked ziti. Overall we had a pleasant experience and look forward to returning.

The food served here is as authentic as it gets. It's consistently delicious, and you can see that the kitchen truly values their craft. The dining area is always softly lit, creating a perfect atmosphere for a romantic meal. With the new Olive Garden opening soon, this place might be overlooked, which would be a big mistake—Olive Garden lacks the same authenticity. Give this establishment a chance to impress you before allowing a large chain to take your money.

A peaceful spot for dining, the restaurant was impeccably clean with well-maintained booths and tables. The server was attentive and prompt, making for a pleasant experience. I thoroughly enjoyed the Vegetable Pasta Primavera, which was wonderfully creamy and rich in flavor.

We discovered a great new restaurant that still has some typical early-stage issues. The bread we received was a bit tough and didn’t seem very fresh, plus there was no garlic and olive oil provided without an extra charge. The pizza was good, but it felt like it could have been even better. The Baked Tuscany was fantastic, though. Despite these drawbacks, I’m giving it 3 stars this time. I’m hopeful it will improve on our next visit, and we definitely plan to return.
