Ben Jerry's - LAKE PLACID

The ice cream at this restaurant is exceptional. However, they frequently run out of certain flavors. Unfortunately, my order was mixed up and I didn't receive exactly what I had requested. I was also confused about the partial refund given for one item on my order, as there was no initial explanation provided which added to the confusion.

The fudge brownie shake tasted delicious, but it was more expensive than I expected. I was disappointed to find out that the pint of salted caramel core was out of stock.

This restaurant is a great little pick-me-up for a midday treat! The staff was friendly and the pickup was quick and easy.

The vegan ice cream is fine, but all her pictures of happy cows make me sad. I don't understand why Ben and Jerry's gets so much credit for a socially good company while they still exploit cows for milk, which is not to be done without abuse. They were sued for false advertising for a while because they said that the milk comes from happy cows, and still some of them through factory cultivation. They won the lawsuit by a technique by argumenting that they never said *all* their milk comes from happy cows. They then removed the good cow's claim from their advertising and did not care for animal welfare. Updated by previous review on 2022-01-31

Delicious non-dairy ice options. Was really switched off from all “happy cow” cardboard cutouts and posters in the workshop. I remember supporting a chain that abuses and exploits animals, even if I have the vegan options. In the future, I will try to avoid and buy vegan brand options from the grocery store. Ice and vegan hot chocolate was great.
