Peking House - Lakeland

Peking House stands apart from all the other Chinese places which are almost identical. I've been enjoying this place for over 20 years now. The service is always top notch and there are several good items on the menu. But their Hot and Spicy chicken is absolutely to die for! I get a craving for it at least monthly and just have to have it. My son loves their Bourbon Chicken and my daughter is addicted to their orange chicken. Good eggrolls too. I will say their quality can be a bit hit or miss, but when you catch them on a good night it's out of this world.

Absolutely delicious food. Great, friendly service. Such a high quality experience every time. Food comes out fast and hot. Love coming here. Our favorite Chinese restaurant in Lakeland!

First time here. I might give it another try ... Not sure. There is a parking lot, so that was convenient. Food: the general Tso tofu was ok... Not bad, but I've had better (including what I make myself). The veggie fried rice consisted of rice, eggs and soy sauce. I don't even think there were onions, much less any veggies. That was disappointing. But apparently the pork fried rice was very good, and had sprouts and other veggies. Drinks: We arrived at 8, but there was no coke, no filtered water, and no hot tea. If they close in an hour, I couldn't figure out why the machines were shut down already. This was the first restaurant in a really long time where I was served tap water. Had to order wine and beer because the water was not drinkable. It was a little concerning that there was only one other couple there on a Wednesday night. But we were happy that the food was decent.

Three decades eating at Peking House. After our our last few takeout meals, the food quality precludes a positive review. We don 't eat in anymore because the service was inconsistent. It was fun when we had our wedding rehearsal dinner here in '91 but what happened?

Very unimpressed..food lacked flavor. Sweet and Sour Chicken was bland and dry...Kung Pao Chicken had more peanuts than flavor. Fried rice was decent. Egg drop soup was good. Service was very good as our server was attentive. Not worth the money we paid.
