Chifa Canton - Lamas

The canton has good food. The selection is great and the service is good. The food is always very well prepared. This is the best Chinese food throughout Amazonas

I was here at a visit to Tarapoto. This of the best China I was in Peru was the place was really clean and very nice decoration with very good service. I had the Sopa de Casa, who was as big as ever... and more than enough than a meal for one it came with chicken, pork, juniper, mushrooms, broccoli and Langoustinen. I also ordered a pig with pineapple that I didn't really need, but it was tasty no less. With half a liter of Chicha morada the meal costs 41 soles.

This is probably the only Chinese owned and operated Chinese Restaurant in Tarapoto. The owner is from Peru, but she studied in Canton, China, thus the name. She speaks good Mandarin, in spite of being Cantonese! The restaurant is 2 blocks from the square, very...convenient. The prices are a bit higher than the ordinary Peruvian Chifa, but the quality is better and more authentic. I did not see a Fixed Price Lunch menu. I chose an item which had two separate dishes. They were of good quality ingredients and well prepared. Chopsticks were readily available! As good as a good restaurant in China.

It is very difficult to have better chinese-peruvian food than the chifa of Lima, the capital (chifa is how peruvians call the chinese food and chinese food restaurants addapted to the limitations of local peruvian ingredients and few brought by chinese workers on the 19th...century) But this is a nice surprise, few chifas out of lima have good food and this is one of them.

Los platos contundentes, sabor delicioso e ingredientes muy frescos. Y sobre todo a precio razonable.
