Assado - Lambeth

The restaurant ambiance was very good and I ordered chicken tikka masala and calamari, the starter was excellent and the chicken tikka was amazing with proper flavours and Tastes so nice while eating.i have ordered a cocktail which is my favourite

Arrived early 6.40pm, restaurant was not busy, order took after 10 mins, just wanted a main each. Restaurant then started to get busier and other peoples food were being brought out before ours. After 50 mins we asked where our food was and was told it’s on its way (roast chicken breast mash broccoli, and a mushroom linguine nothing too difficult) after 60 mins again we asked. Finally it arrived, end of the chicken breast was as hard as a rock clearly microwaved! The manager was more interested in the till than the customers leaving a new employee being barked orders too. A girl on the pass was slightly apologetic. Not even a free drink. They then had the cheek to add a discretional charge ha ha certainly didn’t pay that.

I have recently left a positive review on this establishment and have to say I was favourably impressed at first. However after sending in that review I found the receipt from the night and was dismayed to discover I had been charged for an item I had neither ordered or received. I emailed the venue and the head office and was ignored by both. I can only advise potential customers to look very cArefully at the bill they receive as there seems to be a major problem with their maths or their honesty.

Always a smile when you arrive ... we have tried almost everything on their menu as we are staying at the Hampton nearby. Why go anywhere else when you have homemade foods right next door. The soup was so healthy filling on a cold evening ... a meal in a bowl! The pizza's are made to order in a brick oven. The staff are friendly helpful.

Food was ok and staff friendly. I found menu needed more variety for soup or salads and better variety of pasta. Prices were a bit high for what was offered. Would eat there again though as it was very handy.
