However, during January—what I like to call the "bleakest month of the year"—there are standout places like Chicago Rib Snack that truly shine. Located under the arches of the Clapham Station bridge, this eatery features a modern interior adorned with fairy lights that create a warm ambiance, visible even in the early morning hours as it stays open until 2 AM most days. The food is quintessential comfort cuisine, complemented by delicious milkshakes priced at £5. While I find that a bit pricey (around £3.50 would seem more appropriate), they are undeniably tasty, especially the Oreo milkshake. As for the starters...
I would describe this as a great example of American cuisine. With a menu featuring a variety of ribs, sandwiches, and house specialties, it might not be the best choice for newly converted vegetarians. Although there are several veggie options available, the quality of the meat is certainly enough to entice anyone to reconsider their choices. I tried the baby back ribs and would highly recommend them to everyone. The meat was tender and smothered in a deliciously sticky BBQ sauce. True to American tradition, I paired my main dish with mac and cheese, a rich accompaniment to the standout entree. The service was efficient, even though the restaurant was busy, which is always a good sign of quality.
You could say the chicago rib shack is the pate. they already came. originally opened in 1982, it paved the way for all American restaurants that are a dozen in the city at the moment. it had his moments, but, with the original website went to knightsbridge, but not forget about three food dishes and a new opening in clapham. I was intrigued, I am not a big wing and rib fan, but wanted to see what men, women and children write about the world over to home, so the trek did not make a man land (read: clapham) to taste some state ideas. fucked under the overground, it is positiw shining with newness, it has only been...read more
I tried the po' boy sandwich, and it was delicious! I also had the mac and cheese (not the bites, but the regular version), and it was great as well. The service was friendly. While it can get quite crowded at times, they always manage to find enough seating.
What better way to spend a saturday morning, after a few too many pints the night before, than ingesting palates of ribs and pulled pork! This little American styled diner is swaddled away under the clapham arches, wrapped in leather dining booths and tall stools it has that real grill house appeal. The ribs are a little on the expensive side but are well worth the price, the burgers match in flavour and size. Highly recommend this gem if you are a fan of American dining and eating your ribs with a bib!
