Taverna Del Marinaio - LANCIANO

Taverna del Mariniao has been on my list of places to visit for some time but every time I have tried it has been fully booked. So this time I booked in advance, which meant, of course that the restaurant was fairly quiet the night we went. First impression are good. The restaurant is obviously in an old building but somehow it feels light and airy. Menu, and wine list appeared at out table instantaneously quickly followed by a bread basket and olive oil. Our waiter was helpful and friendly and happy to talk in either Italian or English. The menu provided range of seafood and the wine list offered a choice of Italian wines. We selected a Pecorino from a cantina we had visited recently so we knew the wine was offered at a very reasonable price. We started by sharing a Antipasto del marinaio. The cold plate of our antipasto arrived quickly and was beautifully presented. 4 or 5 diferent dishes which we enjoyed peices of on a a the is arrived pretty quickly and was ,bprice of this wmark uprans did the wine list. We came for a family lunch after visiting the church. It was fairly quiet one other family in the restaurant but we were given a friendly welcome and a free aperitif. Food was great. Some of the best seafood I've had anywhere, and really good value for the quality of what we had. We'll definitely come back next year.

I’m a frequent customer of the restaurant and I’ve never been disappointed. The quality of the food and the service it’s always worth the visit. A true taste of good local seafood, oil and wine.

Posizione eccellente nel centro storico di Lanciano. Fantastico antipasto del marinaio sia per la qualità che per la quantità delle preparazioni fredde, calde e solide. Abbiamo deciso di saltare il primo piatto e andare direttamente al secondo. Ottima frittura di calamari, purtroppo il trancio di ombrina era un po' troppo cotto, secco e non perfettamente collegato. Buona caponata e dolci eccellenti. Buon vino e conto ragionevole. Da ritentare.
