I am very sad to say that we were extremely let down by Kogi Grill. After getting this place recommended to us over and over again, we finally had to try it out. The woman at the counter was very kind. They were extremely busy and she was handling it well. It was very dingy inside, but exactly what you would expect for a place like this. You are not coming here for ambiance, you are coming for what is supposed to be great food. We ordered a large spicy pork kogi bowl and a large beef kogi bowl. Both with a sunny-side-up egg added on top. The flavors of the meat were definitely there, but the meat was extremely dry, chewy, and clearly very low quality. Dry meat over bland rice. Not very enjoyable. The egg on top was each bowl’s only saving grace, and one yolk was broken. Needless to say, we were very displeased with Kogi Grill, and it seems to be quite overhyped. On a slower day, we might try this eatery again. Perhaps we tried it at a bad time. We wanted to love this place, especially with how convenient it is for us, but Kogi Grill did not hit the mark at all Food: 1 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 2
