Left Bank Larkspur Brasserie

Wow! What an incredible restaurant! I absolutely love the atmosphere, and the entire staff is wonderful. I even get to bring my dog along! The food is truly amazing and fresh; this restaurant offers a unique culinary experience unlike any other. Since the weather is warm, we sat outside on the patio, but the interior is stunning, featuring a beautiful fireplace and a large full bar. The staff is genuinely attentive and helpful!

Terrible experience overall. The service was lacking, the staff was rude, and the food quality was far from impressive. If I could give zero stars, I definitely would. This was my first and last visit to LB.

My real issue with this place, which I've been dining at for over a decade now, is the service. I ate dinner here yesterday in a restaurant that couldn't have been more than 1/3 full and the service was abysmal. While waters weren't refilled without asking, our server spent a vast amount of time with other servers at the waiter's station where they gabbed, laughed and looked at their phones for 5 10 minutes at a time. Waving to get the server's attention was useless because they were fixated on their conversation with a colleague. It wasn't only me that felt this way the table next to ours also noticed how the server's attention was on anything but his tables. The food is delicious here the tartar in particular is wonderful but none of that matter when the service is as bad as it's been the past two years.

The escargot and French onion soup were excellent. However, the burger lacked seasoning and was rather bland.

The service was excellent, but the food fell short. The duck cassoulet was dry and lacked depth of flavor. The trout almondine was decent, while the lemon curd tart was just average. On the bright side, the chocolate hazelnut bar was absolutely delicious.
